Prices
How do you work out a price?
From the address. We measure the grass on the lot, or the roofline for holiday lights, and apply our published rate with its minimum. How we quote has the rates and every condition that can move them.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, not for mowing: one day's notice stops it. The Lawn Season Plan and the snow contract are the two things that run for a season, and each says how to leave it.
The lawn
When is the first mow?
In mid-April, when the lawn has woken up and needs it. We text you the day before the first visit.
Do you bag the clippings?
No. We mulch them back into the lawn, where they feed it.
What happens on a rain day?
The visit moves to the next dry day, and you get a text saying which.
Lights and snow
When do the holiday lights go up and come down?
Up from the start of November into early December, on the day you book; down in the first half of January, without you having to ask.
What happens on a snow day?
Once a storm has left two inches, the crews start on the contract drives, then everyone else on the route that day. You get a text when your drive is done.
Will you come when I am away?
Yes. Nobody needs to be home for any of our work, summer or winter, as long as we can reach the lawn or the drive.
